The HÜG Place is a former Jewish Temple. With its iconic basilica dome, HÜG has been transformed into a dynamic cultural hub where community, creativity, and culture converge.
Celebrate, we will.
…while exploring the existential question: Midlife crisis— or, midlife awakening? I attended my friend Laurie’s incredible 50th party last Fall.
In her thank you toast, Laurie raised a great question: “Why should we wait until it’s over to celebrate life?”
I want to celebrate the midpoint. And of course, I want to celebrate LIFE! But not just mine. Each and every one of the lives I LOVE. Who, by your presence, friendship, and lessons, have made me— ME. 💗

Other than THE party of the year on September 5th, Akron is full of plenty of post-industrial hipster charm.
There is one of the largest, and most well-traveled park systems here. Plenty of green space, walking, hiking, and biking trails. Close to the (excellent) Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
The Saturday following morning September 6th (10A-1P) we are also hosting a brunch and lake day in Medina, OH.
This is where Kris’s Mom lives. There will be yoga, outdoor activities for kids and adults, music, and fun in the sun.
“Get Down Tonight” by KC and The Sunshine Band
Guests are advised to grab dinner locally, and arrive at the venue between 6:00 and 6:30 pm. The festivities kick-off promptly at 7.
We will serve plenty of catered apps and healthier, lighter fare.
